After breakfast, you have a full day to explore Belfast. Over one hundred years on from the launch of the world’s most famous ship, you could experience the amazing Titanic story in the city of her birth – Belfast. Experience a thrilling ride through Titanic’s construction in the shipyards, re-live the drama of her sinking and visit her wreck on the ocean floor all during your time at the Titanic Belfast Centre. As an additional attraction, visit the nearby shipyard and pump house where Titanic was built. In the afternoon, we highly recommend a visit to Crumlin Road Gaol. Here you will enjoy an educational guided tour of the Gaol which housed well known IRA members among other criminals from 1845, right up until the gates were closed one final time as a working prison in 1996. After a fun day, return to your hotel for dinner.

Day 3
City of Derry or Belfast.

After an enjoyable Irish breakfast, why not visit the enchanting city of Derry and learn the fascinating history behind the 2013 UK City of Culture. The specialised local tour leader will take you on an educational and emotional journey above and beyond Derry’s historical City walls to get a real insight into this fascinating City. After the tour, visit the enthralling Museum of Free Derry, an archive focusing on the civil rights era of the 1960s and the Free Derry/early troubles era of the 1970s. Afterwards spend free time within this historical City. Be sure to visit Guild Hall; home to the City Council’s chamber and Mayor’s Parlour. You could even wander over the Peace Bridge, Derry’s bridge built over the River Foyle to unite the City. If you would prefer to stay closer to the hotel there are plenty of other highlights to see in Belfast City including City Hall, St. George’s Market, St. Anne’s Cathedral, the Botanic Gardens and the Crown Liquor Saloon, a splendid gin palace and famous landmark – the perfect stop for a refreshment! After an enjoyable day return to your hotel for dinner.
